Brow lamination: what to expect and how long it lasts

Brow lamination is the reason so many brows suddenly look fuller, fluffier and perfectly brushed up. It is a simple treatment with a dramatic effect. Here is exactly what happens.
What is brow lamination?
Think of it as a lift for your brow hairs. A lotion temporarily relaxes the hairs so they can be brushed into a new direction, usually upward and slightly outward, and a second lotion sets them there. The result is a fuller, more uniform brow that stays in place for weeks.
What happens during the appointment
- Consultation and mapping. Your artist looks at your face and natural brows to plan the ideal shape.
- Lifting. The first lotion is applied and the hairs are brushed into position.
- Setting. A second lotion locks the new shape in place.
- Tint and tidy. An optional tint adds depth, and stray hairs are removed for a clean outline.
- Nourish. A conditioning oil finishes the treatment.
The whole appointment takes under an hour.
How long does it last?
Six to eight weeks. As hairs shed and new ones grow, brows gradually return to their natural direction.
Aftercare
- Keep brows dry for 24 hours: no washing, steam or sweaty workouts.
- Skip brow makeup and exfoliating skincare on the area for a day or two.
- Brush brows into shape each morning with a clean spoolie.
- A drop of nourishing brow oil keeps hairs soft and healthy.
Who is it for?
Lamination works beautifully on brows that are unruly, sparse in places or grow downward. If your brows are very thin or have gaps, eyebrow extensions can add hair-like density, and a tint makes fair hairs visible.
If you have sensitive skin, are pregnant, or have recently used strong retinoids on the area, mention it when you book. A patch test may be recommended first.
